You can use the Scrabble Dictionary search to check the eligibility of words before you play them.  Scrabble Word Solver has 5 different Scrabble dictionaries: the basic US Scrabble dictionary, the Scrabble Tournament dictionary and the SOWPODS dictionary. SOWPODS is an anagram of OSPD (Official Scrabble Players’ Dictionary) and OSW (Official Scrabble Words) and is basically a combined version of the official players dictionary and the tournament dictionary.  In addition to these three English based dictionary, there is also support for the French Scrabble dictionary and the Italian Scrabble dictionary.  Just choose which dictionary you’d like to search, using the drop-down menu in the form above.  There is also a filter “is exact” that can be checked.  This filter returns only the exact word you entered into the search field.  If the “is exact” check box is not checked, you will get a list of all words in the dictionary that contain your search word.
